Understanding AI Adoption
Data & AI Strategy Project for Allnex
Research setting
The International TeamWork Programme brought together the University of Warwick and Monash University for a Data & AI Strategy project with Allnex between May and July 2025. The study examined engagement with the DNA—Data, Analytics & AI—SharePoint platform.
Research question
Which organisational, communication and accessibility barriers influence employees’ engagement with a corporate data and AI knowledge platform?
Methodology
I conducted nine semi-structured interviews with cross-functional stakeholders and used thematic analysis to organise the barriers described in their accounts.
Findings and output
The analysis identified four friction points: technical and user-experience accessibility, community isolation, content fatigue associated with podcast length, and limited visibility across communication channels. I developed a Hypothesis Matrix to consider communication strategies by demographic group, job function and language proficiency.
Research relevance and limits
This work gave me experience in interview-based inquiry and translating qualitative findings into practical propositions. The matrix proposed communication hypotheses; the study did not estimate a causal effect on adoption.
